in Seoul, Korea, November 1-5, 2008

Miles Kiffmann - Silver- day 1(foreign), Bronze-day 2(champions)

After defeating the player from Kazakhstan 5:1 and a withdrawal from Indonesia, Miles tied the Philippine national team member in the finals 2:2 and lost a superiority decision after a no score in sudden death. He then went on to the champions round and lost to Korea 3:0.

5 Black Belt athletes from Kiffmann Taekwondo competed at the official 2008 US National Taekwondo Championships held in Detroit, Michigan, July 1-6, 2008.

Miles Kiffmann was the first Taekwondo athlete from Maui to ever medal in a Junior (14-17) Black Belt Sparring World Division losing by 1 point to the National team member, Jeffrey Williams in his 3rd match. Also attending Nationals were the 4 Olympic Taekwondo Team members representing USA at this Year’s Olympic Games in Bejing. The Results for team Kiffmann were as follows:

2008 US Open Taekwondo Championships
February 7-11, 2008, New Orleans, LA

Over 1,000 athletes and 250 coaches from 45 states and 38 countries including Olympic teams from Thailand, Germany and Puerto Rico were competing in this for black belts only event. Matthew Daniells, Gunter Kiffmann and Kathryn Kiffmann each won 2 gold medals in the Ultra division. Miles Kiffmann won a silver medal in the Junior poomse division and 5th place in junior finweight sparring.
